Snow way, school is closed!

A snow storm has hit Angus and the surrounding areas, leaving Montrose a beautiful snowy white landscape. With all of the misery and concern that Covid has brought, the sight of children laughing, playing, throwing snowballs and building snowmen has been a most welcome sight!

In the Borrowfield school learning provision, we have seen 'bin-liner' sledging, snowman building of the highest order and staff have had to have their wits about them; dodging frozen missiles in the form of snow balls! We have also seen some impressive snowmen and family snow fun uploaded to seesaw, showing the Borrowfield community having much needed fun in the snow.

There has also been a tricky element, with staff abandoning their cars to bravely walk through the snow to get to the boys and girls at Borrowfield. But today Angus council deemed the roads too dangerous and took the sensible decision to shut the schools. As a result for our keen pupils, work has been set for home learning. However for those who want to enjoy the once in a decade snow filled day, then enjoy yourselves and we certainly won't be expecting any work today!

Have fun, stay safe and take care from all Borrowfield!!

This comment has nothing to do with the snow I just wanted to say hi to everyone in my old class here at Borrowfield as a year or two ago I moved to St Cyrus Primary. I miss every single person at Borrowfield and I hope your all are doing good.
